This is our upper river beat, which are largely orientated towards trout fishing. This beat is fly only. The beauty of this beat is that, given that it is located above Lampeter Bridge, the fishing begins on the 3rd of March (trout only), whereas all beats below this point open on the 1st of April. This beat is also good to explore later in the season for both salmon and sea trout (sewin) and is often worth visiting if the beats lower down are too high or brown to fish, as this beat will recede / clear quicker.
