SECTION B – LAMPETER TO LLANYBYDDER AREA (UPPER-MIDDLE REACHES)

There is a vast amount of water to explore downstream from Lampeter Bridge. To begin with there are a few miles of double bank fishing, which is only very lightly fished. There is great habitat here for the trout, but there are also some notable pools worth trying for both salmon and sea trout (sewin), especially in the latter half of the season. Due to the lack of fishing pressure exhibited on these beats, the undergrowth can be thick in places and access limited. As such, please take this into account when visiting. The water is, however, as wild as nature intended and the trout thrive as a result. Historically the Llanybydder area is where grayling have been found, so please do bear that in mind if you are attempting to track down a Teifi unicorn…
