RULES / BYELAWS
Whilst being a very welcoming club, we are also very conservation minded – more often than not going beyond NRW Byelaws in order to reflect local issues and to enable a sustainable approach to be achieved. We see ourselves as custodians for future generations – if we do not look after the club and the river today, then there is no club and no fish to pursue for future generations. Llandysul Angling Association Key Rules
Please note that these are an excerpt from our main byelaws booklet LlAA Byelaws revision (2020), which should be read and adhered to in full and followed in conjunction with NRW byelaws.
1. No bait fishing on Association water, except for disabled anglers at designated disabled fishing platform – Beat 12 (Tyrdref)
2. No treble hooks; singles or doubles only.
3. One hook only on spinners; single or double.
4. All sea trout (sewin) above 18 inches / 45 cm must be released.
5. Sea trout (sewin); kill limit of 1 per week (7 days between dispatch), 5 per season. Killed fish must be tagged immediately with the supplied carcass tag. No fish to be killed after 31st August.
6. Salmon (including grilse); compulsory Catch & Release throughout season.
7. Brown trout; compulsory Catch & Release throughout season.
8. Grayling; compulsory Catch & Release throughout season.
9. Please observe ‘Odds&Evens’ rule at Beats 10 & 13.
10. Please carry a landing net and forceps at all times.
